Man in carnival costume It’s Carnival time in Huddersfield on 13th and 14th July 2012.

A Carnival Royale show at Huddersfield Town Hall on the evening of Friday 13th July will be followed by the J’Ouvert procession, which officially marks the start of the carnival.

Huddersfield town centre will be at the heart of the celebrations on Saturday 14th July.

The carnival procession will start from the Hudawi Cultural Centre at Great Northern Street from 1pm and will take in most of the town centre, including attractions in St George’s Square and St Peter’s Gardens.

There will also be lots of stalls, activities and live entertainment in the town centre.

The carnival is organised by Huddersfield African Caribbean Cultural Trust (a registered charity) in partnership with Kirklees Council.
