Voluntary Action Kirklees (VAK) organises regular training sessions for voluntary and community groups in Kirklees. They also promote learning opportunities from other local organisations.

You can use this web site to search for local courses, some of which might be relevant for your volunteers and some you might want to promote to residents who you support. The site is managed by C&K Careers on behalf of Kirklees Neighbourhood Learning Partnership.
Kirklees FINE project
The Kirklees FINE team (Food Initiative and Nutrition Education project) offer free healthy eating and cooking training for volunteers who are working with communities in Kirklees. You can find out more on the Eatwell4Life web site, run by NHS Kirklees.
Kirklees Safeguarding Children Board
The Kirklees Safeguarding Children Board can help anyone who works with (or volunteers with) children, young people and families to learn about safeguarding. They offer training sessions and online courses. You can find guidance for voluntary and community groups on their web site.
