Coach Education Courses 2012
Here are some upcoming coach education courses which will be running in Kirklees this year.
The venue for all these courses will be Stadium Business and Leisure Complex, Stadium Way, Huddersfield, HD1 6PG (Next to Odeon)
Sports Coach UK Safeguarding Children
Ideally targeted at Voluntary clubs and Organisations, the course is aimed at equipping welfare officers and coaches with the necessary skills required, in order to deal with any situation where a child may be at risk.
Date: Tuesday May 29th
Time: 6.00 – 9.00pm
Community Amatuer Sports Clubs (CASC)
The course outlines the benefits and responsibilities of becoming a CASC club, to include rate relief, profits from trading and advice on PAYE
Date: Tuesday May 1st & Tuesday November 13th
Time: 6.00 – 9.00pm
Sport England Small Grants Programme
Designed for volunteers working in sport. The course will cover successful completion of funding applications
Date: Tuesday May 8th & Tuesday November 20th
Time: 6.00 – 9.00pm
Valuing Volunteers
Suitable for individuals responsible for co-ordinating and managing other volunteers, or for undertaking an administrative role within their sports clubs or organisation. The course provides specific skills, resources and support for volunteers and will help them contribute to the future success of their club and organisation
Tuesday September 11th
Time: 6.00 – 9.00pm
First Aid
Accredited by the Health and Safety Executive the course offers training in basic first aid skills including resuscitation and is certificated.
Tuesday June 26th
Time: 6.00 – 9.00pm
Cost: £15 Voluntary Sports Clubs in Kirklees
£20 for Non Voluntary Sports Clubs and external organisations
Kirklees Safeguarding Children
Targeted at voluntary club welfare officers and coaches, the course has been compiled by the Kirklees Safeguarding Board as an ‘in house’ course and is also open to those members of the Council’s workforce, who may come into contact with young people
Tuesday July 10th and Tuesday December 11th
Time: 6.00 – 9.00pm
Cost: £5 Voluntary Sports Clubs in Kirklees
£10 for Non Voluntary Sports Clubs and external organisations

My name is Christine Charles
At the moment I work with the Altogether Better Kirklees as a Community Health Champion but in 2009 to 2010 I worked the Young People service Teaching teenagers the benefit of a balanced diet.I ran a several classes educating to educate and create great meals.
Then became an Aspire Role Model in 2011 with the Children of Black Parents Association at the Deighton Centre. I delivering presentation to primary schools to encourage them to be more motivate to achieve their goals. Furthermore I joined the KNH Achievers 16.12/2011 and The Young Achievers in March 2012.
I would now like to become a Sports Coach UK Safeguarding Children and all that it offers as I am interested in becoming a Sports Coach Uk Safeguarding Child.
