Lend a hand…
If you would like to volunteer on the day, we would love a hand putting up marquees, welcoming people on the gate, showing people round the veg gardens, hosting kids activites, serving refreshments and clearing up at the end of the day. Please email kim.warren@ywt.org.uk with the times you would like to help out (anytime between 8am and 6pm).
Kids’ competition…
We’re also having a children’s picture competition, which has a fabulous 1st prize of a digital camera and runners up will win bug catchers and seeds for the garden or window box. Children should bring the drawing along on the day to qualify.

Gutted I missed this – I had absolutely nothing to do this day, too! How often do you hold the open days? Was this the last this year?
Hello,
This is an annual open day, held on the last Sunday of the summer holidays. However, there are lots of events at Stirley Farm throughout the year. You can find the details in the Newsome Food Calendar or on the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust web site.
